This  very special necklace is from Mizoram, an Indian state, but the amber is from Burma and  is referred to as Burmite.  This necklace would have originally been strung with aluminum spacer beads.  This has been restrung in its original design with silver replacements, because it is not unusual for the aluminum spacer beads to have been lost through the years.  This necklace is extra special due to its age, the scarcity of Burmese amber, and its authentic Mizo design. This necklace is aproximately 35,  weighs 230 grams ,and has a total of 30 mizo amber (Burmite) beads of varying sizes.
